A Unique Perspective on Ecuador Semana Santa

Good Friday Procession
Dalynda and my Mother-in-Law Lilly flew down to Quito on Thursday night to be there for the Good Friday Procession. The Procession comes right up our street. You can get a good view right out our bedroom windows. They were also invited up to the penthouse right above us - it has a terasa on that side of the building roof with a great view of the Procession. Lilly was just thrilled to see the Procession. I came down over the weekend - I was finishing out the week working my consulting job before taking some time off in Ecuador.
Below are some pictures that Dalynda took of the Good Friday Procession. In addition, here are links to three Chronicles that Live Well Ecuador principal Mathieu Guillory provided last year about Semana Santa in Ecuador. If you missed these Chronicles last year you are in for a treat. As usual, Mathieu gives a unique perspective on Ecuador.
The first is about Palm Sunday in Riobabma, a town about three hours south of Quito:
The next Chronicle covers Good Friday in Quito:
And finally, a family trip to Guayaquil for Easter Weekend:
Here are Dalynda's Good Friday Procession pictures:
